GST Revenue Collections Surge by 9.1% in February 2025
The gross GST revenue collections for February 2025 reached ₹1,83,646 crore, marking a 9.1% year-over-year increase compared to ₹1,68,337 crore in February 2024. The revenue breakdown includes ₹35,204 crore in CGST, ₹43,704 crore in SGST, ₹90,870 crore in IGST, and ₹13,868 crore in Cess.
After adjusting for refunds, the net GST revenue stood at ₹1,62,758 crore, reflecting an 8.1% growth from ₹1,50,528 crore in the previous year. Refunds for February 2025 totaled ₹20,889 crore, a 17.3% increase from last year.
State-wise, Haryana (20%), Tripura (21%), and Maharashtra (13%) reported strong growth, while Mizoram (-16%) and Lakshadweep (-55%) saw declines. The overall increase in GST collections was driven by a 10.2% rise in domestic revenue and a 5.4% increase in import revenue.
