Budget Session to start from Jan 31
The Budget Session of Parliament will commence on January 31wth the address of the President to both the Houses and conclude on April 8, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said on Friday.
The Union Budget for FY23 will be presented on February 1 at 11 AM
The Economic Survey will be tabled on January 31 after the President’s address, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said.
The eighth session of seventeenth Lok Sabha will commence from January Subject to exigencies of government business, the session is likely to conclude on April 8,” according to the bulletin.
The first part of the session will conclude on February 11. After a month-long recess, the part two of the session would begin from March14 and conclude on April 8.
The month-long recess is for allowing department-related parliamentary committees to examine budgetary allocations made to their respective ministries and pre-sent their reports.

COMMENCEMENT AND DURATION OF THE EIGHTH SESSION OF THE SEVENTEENTH LOK SABHA
- The Eighth Session of Seventeenth Lok Sabha will commence on Monday, the 31′ January, 2022. Subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session is likely to conclude on Friday, the 8th April, 2022.
- The President will address both Houses of Parliament assembled together at 11.00 A.M. on Monday, the 31′ January, 2022.
- The Union Budget will he presented at 11.00 A.M. on Tuesday, the February, 2022.
- In order to enable the Standing Committees to consider the Demands for Grants of Ministries/Departments and prepare their Reports, the House will adjourn on 11th February, 2022 to meet again on 14′ March, 2022.
